However, two other players were also excluded from the trip after they had been communicated that they can find a new club this summer.

Midfielder Klaidi Lolos performed 24 appearances in all competitions for the white last season, scored two goals and provided two templates.

After his summer train from Crawley, the 24-year-old did not record a regular starting place under Ian Evatt or Steven Schumacher and now seems to leave the club.

Dan N’lundulu also stayed behind, although Dalby’s injury did not leave hikers in front of strikers.

The former man in Southampton loaned the last season with Cambridge United and was looking for most of the summer for a new club.

Wanderers have brought a number of younger players to their training camp in Marbella, with Sam Inwood, Max Conway, Daeshon Lawrence and David Abimbola.

The newcomer Charlie Warren, who was recruited by Non-League Felixstowe and Waltham United, has so far been discontinued by head coach Schumacher as a “surprise package” of the trip.

The 21-year-old scored 34 goals last season, but can also play in the winger and is expected to play Pirates on Friday.
