Wild celebrations in Paris after the victory of the Champions League in PSG

Thousands of supporters of Saint-Germain from Paris Saint-Germain went to the street of the French capital on Saturday to celebrate the victory of their club in the Champions League final, but after a few collisions with the police, almost 300 arrests were made.

The majority of the fans celebrated peacefully, but the police from Paris said that Scuffles had broken out near the city of the city and the Parc of PSG’s Princes Stadium, where 48,000 had observed the 5-0 victory against Inter Milan in Munich on large screens.

The French President Emmanuel Macron’s office said that he would host the victorious players on Sunday to congratulate them.

In a separate message on X, Macron welcomed a “day of fame for PSG”.

“Bravo, we are all proud,” he wrote. “Paris is the capital of Europe this evening.”

The mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, made it as a “historical” victory.

The PSG team will hold a Victory parade for the Champs-Elysees on Sunday if it is expected to gather tens of thousands of followers to take a look at their returning heroes.
